Senior FPGA Design Engineer in HFT

The FPGA team collaborates closely with traders and software engineers to identify key challenges and develop effective solutions to issues that occur in sub-microsecond trading. Responsibilities:

• Enhance network infrastructure and trading system components through the design of high-speed hardware for crucial trade-to-trade executions.
• Conduct research on emerging low-latency techniques and platforms, identifying opportunities for integration into trading systems.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team consisting of traders, software developers, and infrastructure engineers.
• Utilize server hardware by leveraging the best available hardware or developing in-house solutions for seamless FPGA integration with strategies and market orders.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
• Drive the development and implementation of complex FPGA designs, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering (CE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS), or a related technical field. A Master's or Ph.D. is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, coding, testing, and verifying FPGAs and/or ASICs.
• Proven proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, as well as C or C programming languages.
• Extensive experience with RTL synthesis and the ability to write timing, area, and other pertinent constraints.
• Hands-on experience working with digital simulators and self-checking test benches.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems and deliver high-quality, robust designs.
• Bonus points for experience in post-silicon bring-up and debugging (low-level programming).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
