The selected candidate will be a key support to our Marketing team and will have a specialized focus on digital marketing and social media content to drive exposure of our brand. Carmine’s Legendary Family Style Italian restaurant offers an exceptional product to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The menu features “wow-factor” sized portions making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Our locations span from NYC, Vegas, DC, AC to the Bahamas. 

Virgil’s Real Barbecue has been acclaimed as one of America’s best BBQ restaurants by leading food critics and has continually been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox TV. The menu was developed after extensive research in the back roads of the south and highlights the best of the best of BBQ from Memphis, Carolina, Kansas City, and Texas. Virgil’s Real BBQ is located in NYC and Vegas. 

The Role:

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Intern to assist with the day to day activities of our digital marketing initiatives for our Restaurant Group. You will work with the Marketing Director and store managers in developing, implementing, and executing strategic digital marketing initiatives that promote revenue growth. This opportunity is perfect for a self-starter who is passionate about hospitality and enjoys being in the middle of the action! We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude who thrives on collaborative, fast paced marketing. The ideal candidate will be confident utilizing current digital marketing technology and trends and needs to be comfortable learning how to drive campaigns from conception to execution. 

Overview of Responsibilities: 

Creative & Social Media Support 

• Assisting with digital marketing, social media content creation, digital community engagement, and special campaigns for our brand Carmine’s Italian Restaurant and Virgil’s real BBQ and events; projects could include, social media creative, print ads, email designs, menus and all other related marketing collateral.
• Brainstorm and create fun and effective content for our digital marketing campaigns and events while utilizing discretion.
• Create on-brand written and visual content for email campaigns, newsletter, etc. Assist with social media management.
• Track and measure marketing perform (KPI dashboards) and co-create improvement strategies
• Administer relative creative and copy for external and internal signs for each store including digital signs and posters. 

General Marketing Support 

• Assist store managers as needed with grass roots outreach marketing programs through conventions, concierge programs, civic organizations, business alliances and all others as identified. 
• Assist with marketing communication with location partners such as Tropicana Casino, The LINQ, and The Forum Shops at Caesars. 
• Assist with PR campaigns and communications with our PR agencies. 

Preferred & Required Experience 

• Must be a great writer and communicator
• Must be social media savvy
•  Must have a great creative eye
• Graphic design experience highly desired.
• Knowledge of Adobe Platforms- Photoshop, In-design, Acrobat, etc. highly desired
• Knowledge of Social Media Analytics: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter 
• Knowledge of E-mail marketing platforms (Fishbowl, MailChimp, Constant contact)
• Flexible work schedule, but committed to work 10 to 15 hours a week
