JOB DESCRIPTION:
The EKG tech at AHMC is responsible for conducting electrocardiogram (EKG) testing on both inpatient and outpatient patients. EKG techs are also responsible for other diagnostic testing; such as, Holter monitors and Home Sleep Apnea testing (HSAT). Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining equipment, communicating with healthcare teams, educating patients about testing procedures, and ensuring the quality of recorded data.
EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent education.
EXPERIENCE: EKG Certification preferred, prior experience helpful.
This is a bargaining union position.
