ALife Hospitality Group is Hiring an Executive Chef Near Houston, TX

We are looking for a hard working and detail-oriented executive chef to supervise daily back of house restaurant operations for a fast growing Houston based hospitality company. The Executive Chef responsibilities include but are not limited to inventory management, supervising the food prep and cooking procedures to ensure accuracy, maintaining and complying with safety and cleanliness standards, as well as the ability to grown and build a high performing staff. With ALife Hospitality Group, you have options! We have a variety of different establishments in the Houston area including sports bars, casual dining, and upscale fine dining. We will place candidates at our various locations based on their experience and preference as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen inventory and ordering.
  • Supervise food prep and cooking.
  • Check food plating and temperature.
  • Establish portion sizes.
  • Schedule kitchen staff shifts.
  • Price menu items in collaboration with the Culinary Director.
  • Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
  • Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
  • Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
  • Keep weekly and monthly cost reports
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Executive Chef or Sous Chef in an upscale structure with volume exceeding 6 million dollars.
  • Hands-on experience with menu creation.
  • Vast knowledge of classic food recipes.
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends.
  • Culinary School certification, restaurant management.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
