Overview: The role will oversee all aspects of procurement and supply chain management across multiple skilled nursing facilities, with a specific focus on optimizing inventory levels.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives and inventory management strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality goods and services
  • Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns to enhance collaboration and efficiency
  • Collaborate with finance and other departments to develop and manage budgets related to purchasing and inventory management activities
  • Monitor spending and implement cost-control measures to achieve financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in all procurement and inventory management activities
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with supply chain and inventory to maintain operational continuity

What you need to qualify:

  • 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in Skilled Nursing
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a procurement role, with a focus on inventory management
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and improving procurement and inventory efficiency
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement and inventory management software and systems
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in healthcare procurement and inventory management
  • Experience in contract negotiations relating to vendors, maintenance organizations and GPOs
