ALIGN Executive Search is Hiring a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - Aviation - Relo Package! Near Merritt, FL

Job DescriptionSummary:We are seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to lead our metal forming manufacturing processes, providing technical sheet metal forming expertise and innovative solutions. Must have a proven track record in aerospace manufacturing. Relocation assistance provided.
What you will be doing:
  • Lead selection of capital equipment and processes to advance manufacturing capabilities
  • Oversee operation and troubleshooting of capital equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
  • Lead efforts to identify and resolve complex material and manufacturing challenges; maintain highest quality standards with special emphasis on sheet metal fabrication and forming
  • Enhance production efficiency and reduce costs
  • Manage outsourcing of critical components; maintain relationships with external vendors
  • Lead development of advanced tooling and fabrication designs for aircraft components
  • Implement and improve Manufacturing Engineering policies and procedures
  • Use advanced CAD tools for layouts and line flow optimization
  • Implement facility changes, collaborating seamlessly with various departments
  • Conduct in-depth workflow, capacity, quantitative, and throughput analyses
  • Conduct comprehensive cost analyses; maintain complex charts for strategic decision-making
  • Apply Lean Tools (5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis) and ensure their sustained effectiveness
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, providing mentorship and training to others in facilitation techniques
  • Analyze results of Lean implementations, driving a continuous improvement mindset
  • Train and coach plant staff in advanced Lean tools and implementation techniques
What you need to qualify:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Avionics, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience in aircraft manufacturing or combination of education and experience
  • 7 years of progressive engineering experience, with a focus on aircraft manufacturing
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD, Unigraphics II, Microsoft Project, and Office
  • Expertise in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; track record of successfully overcoming complex challenges
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate in a team-oriented environment
