What you will be doing:
- Develop, implement and maintain tooling management
- Lead CNC programming utilizing Siemens NX
- Optimize tool, tool design and CNC program control
- Ensure that Tool Design Standards are developed and maintained
- Develop and implement the tool recycle and maintenance process
- Create, direct, and promote process, procedure, and action plans
- Attend engineering and/or management meetings and provide necessary input and guidance
- Interface with vendors and purchasing department in selection of tools and various materials
- Review project status with management
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing engineering
- 10 years' tooling, tool design experience, with at least 5 years as supervisor in a manufacturing environment
- Expertise in stamping dies, jigs, fixtures, molds, press brake dies, hydroforming tools
- Extensive knowledge of computer programs, understanding of document and data control as it relates to CNC programs (NX) and tool designs
- Understanding of configuration management and control of tooling and related data, fundamentals of sheet metal layout and applications
- Extensive knowledge machine operations including CNC mills, grinders, saws, punch press, lathes, heat treat equipment, drill press, torches, welders, hand tools and test equipment
- Supervise, train and assist employees
