The role of Chemical Processor is to assist in the chemical process associated with each specification of detailed aerospace components. Depending on the specification and required procedure, at least one of the following processes will be completed: Alodine, Anodize, and Hard Metals.

Set your alarm. This full-time position covers the 7:00am – 3:30pm shift Monday through Friday. When we’re busy, you’ll have opportunities for overtime.

1. Perform periodic testing in accordance with customer requirements and Align Precision
2. Maintain electronic logs to ensure traceability and accountability for testing processes
3. Ensure all chemical and rinse tanks are within their specified concentrations and limits for contamination
4. Work directly with Chemical Processing Engineer and environmental health and safety team to ensure all regulations are followed for air quality, wastewater, and chemical storage
5. Maintain and reorder lab chemicals and supplies as needed
6. Assist quality engineers with chemical processing audits
7. Manage all tank dumps in coordination with Chemical Processing Engineer
8. Perform waste treatment operations in coordination with Chemical Processing Engineer
Knowledge of all applicable specifications and procedures
Knowledge of all chemicals used for processing and lab testing
Understand hazardous waste labeling procedures
Proficiency with computers and computer software, including Word, Excel, and data entry
Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements
Ability to use conductivity meter, pH meter, spectrophotometer, and other lab equipment.
Knowledge of air quality and waste water regulations
Mastery of intermediate math and stoichiometry.
Understand and obey safety requirements
Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris
Able to understand and communicate in English
Working knowledge of Employee Handbook
Preferred education and experience
1-3 years of related work or laboratory experience.
