Job Description
Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Onsite – Bethesda, MD

Aligned Orthopedic Partners is recruiting for an experienced Staff Accountant / AP Specialist to join our office in Bethesda, MD
What you will do:
- Full cycle accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
- Oversee the bill.com account and process?
- Manage various AP inboxes
- Process accounts payable for separate entities and vendors?
- Establish relationships with new and existing vendors?
- Ensure bills and reimbursements are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures?
- Process invoices for payments
- Ensure accurate coding of invoices
- Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
- Maintain electronic invoice file
- Weekly check run (onsite), secure authorized signature, envelop and mail check
- Managing and making utility payments
- Managing and updating contractor W-9 forms
- Prepare weekly/monthly AP aging reports
- Posting corporate credit card expenses to the GL and securing back up as needed
- Annual 1099 reconciliation and filing
- Filing
- Process all remote bank deposits
- Assist with Month-End, Year-End close and annual audit
- Other projects as assigned.
What you bring to the table:
You should have strong organizational skills and have an ability to accurately track and record cash flow. You have experience in maintaining a database of financial information and ability to recognize and solve any problems that may arise. You should also have:
- Bachelor's degree (or pursuing) in Accounting or related field
- 3-5 years in accounting or related fields
- Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
- Detail oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Must have previous experience with bill.com
- Experience with sage intact is preferred
