Alison Giese Interiors is Hiring an Associate Designer Near San Antonio, TX

Position: Associate Designer

Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday (with occasional weekends, 1-2 times per quarter)

Location: San Antonio, TX

Salary: Competitive; Negotiable

Reporting to: Design Manager

By focusing on understanding our clients' unique needs and delivering tailored solutions, we pride ourselves on excellence in design and service.

Responsibilities:

As an Associate Designer, you will be an integral part of our design team, contributing to projects from conception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with team members and clients to understand project requirements, budget constraints, and space planning needs.
  • Conducting occasional on-site visits to take measurements and assess existing or proposed workspaces.
  • Utilizing Sketchup, Revit, and AutoCAD to develop accurate floor plans and 3D renderings.
  • Selecting and specifying custom and high-end furniture, fabrics, and finishes that align with the AGI aesthetic, client preferences and budgets.
  • Updating product schedules and quotes, and making revisions as necessary to ensure project accuracy and completion.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Assisting with other office duties as required to support team objectives.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a design-related role.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Workspace.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A college degree in Interior Design.
  • Proficiency in Sketchup and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with space planning.
  • Familiarity with project management tools.
  • Familiarity with the AGI aesthetic, and sourcing that aligns with it.
