Description of Position: Landscape Crew Leader is a working team member that leads and oversees a crew of laborers on various daily jobs including, but not limited to, lawn maintenance, clean-ups, mulching, trimming, hard scape, pond installation and similar tasks while working with their team. This position will transfer into a snow removal position during the winter season. Snow removal is mandatory for all employees.

This position would turn into a year round salaried position after the probationary period is over. Our company is growing, thus leading to many opportunities for professional growth from within our company as we expand our service area. Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.

Salary would range from $45,500-$58,240.

The Landscape Crew Leader will report directly to the company owner and will be responsible for ensuring our standards are upheld on everyday. Qualified applicants will have a desire to treat every property like it is their own, will value team work, will be dependable and have a positive attitude.

In addition, all applicants must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team environment and must share a commitment to the highest standards in customer service, quality, and professionalism.

Necessary Skill/Qualifications:

• Must possess leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively and motivate
• Openness and eagerness to learn new skills
• Must be able to understand instructions and complete given tasks throughly
• Minimum 3 years of experience with landscape equipment, preferably as a crew leader
• Ability to safely operate all landscape equipment including but not limited to zero turn mowers, push mowers, walk behind mowers, weed whacker, chainsaw, leaf blowers, etc.
• Prior snow removal experience
• Valid Drivers License
• Drive truck and trailer
• Dependability, attention to detail, good work ethic, and honesty
• Must pass DOT physical (Company expense)

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and manage day to day projects
• Operate and maintain equipment to ensure good operating condition
• Ensure truck and trailer have proper equipment for each project
• Guarantee that all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines/standards are being upheld by all crew members
• Monitor and ensure that team members are following safety regulations to minimize accident risk
• Proper reporting of any accidents or customer complaints
• The Landscape Crew Leader will report directly to the company owner and will be responsible for ensuring our standards are upheld on everyday.
