We are a busy, small animal veterinary hospital in Siloam Springs, AR seeking an experienced veterinary technician to help our clients and patients in the exam rooms. This position requires good animal handling skills, nail trims, ear cleaning, drawing blood from dogs and cats, obtaining other biological samples, cleaning, educating clients, as well as helping with immunizations, treatments, and hospitalized patients. The candidate will also be cross-trained to assist at the front desk when needed. The hours available are generally 8:45am to 5:30pm Tues - Friday and Saturdays 8am to Noon, approximately 20 to 40 hours a week. Ideally a candidate should have experience working at a veterinary clinic. Our hospital provides a family-like atmosphere and all team members are valued for each individual's strengths and skills. Candidates should be personable, detail-oriented, organized, able to follow directions as well as able to self-motivate. Experience is helpful but we will also consider strong candidates without experience.
