Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in Construction Estimating and be proficient in HeavyBid or similar software. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing construction project requirements and providing accurate cost estimates with a heavy emphasis on utility construction/installation.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize HeavyBid or similar software to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to determine project requirements
- Collaborate with construction teams to understand project scope and timelines
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Develop and submit project bids and proposals
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
- Utilize Bluebeam or similar software for plan review and takeoffs
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Construction Estimating and familiarity with HeavyBid software
- Knowledge of construction management principles and practices
- Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in cost control and budget management
