Job Title: Control Panel Wiring Technician
Location: Jonesboro, AR 72401
Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour (Full-time)
Job Summary: A growing Jonesboro business is seeking a full-time Control Wiring Tech L1. This position will work under the direct supervision of the Production Team Leader. The Control Panel Wiring Technician is responsible for the physical assembly, wiring, and testing of control panels for industrial equipment. Key responsibilities include fabricating controls to print, mounting components to back panels, routing and bundling wires neatly, and ensuring proper operation through testing.
Job Description

• Dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures.
• Mounting of components to back panels and enclosures.
• Operation of computerized labeling and engraving equipment.
• Routing and bundling of wire and cables to meet wiring standards.
• Point-to-point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, and Instrumentation.
• Testing panels for proper operation using test equipment.
• Troubleshooting panels to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions.
• Maintaining red line drawing mark-ups for changes during fabrication.
• Communicating red line changes to Engineers or Team Leaders for revision.
• Traveling to job sites for control panel installation.
• Providing support or general assistance as needed.
• Installing, setting up, and testing control panels on equipment.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Ability to listen well and take direction.
• Proficiency with power and hand tools.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Basic knowledge of electricity and electrical circuits.
• High standard of quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in the construction of control panels (similar technical training may be considered).
• 1 year of experience in electrical circuits and industrial controls (preferred).
