The Glenview at Pelican Bay is a premier continuing care retirement community located in beautiful, sunny Naples, Florida.

We are currently considering candidates for a hospitality focused Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). Candidates must have nursing experience and a desire to join a great team dedicated to providing outstanding and superior hospitality.

We currently have the following shifts available: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 12pm-8:30pm

The Assistant Director of Nursing at The Glenview at Pelican Bay assist residents on our beautiful campus in Premier Place. They provide direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.

The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist our residents with services including but not limited to:

• Supervises direct nursing care in the Health Center.
• Administers direct nursing care when more than routine care is indicated.
• Makes routine rounds to assure proper care and a safe, clean resident environment.
• Assures accuracy and completeness of medical records.
• Coordinates, conducts, and documents the MDS, resident care plans and conference in the absence of the MDS nurse.
• Supervises nursing personnel on all shifts. Participates in staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, and evaluation of nursing staff.
• Assists with orientation of nursing personnel.
• Participates in family/resident counseling.
• Responds to emergency calls as necessary.
• Functions in the capacity of DON in his/her absence.
• Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to resident care.
• Some “on call” is required.

Skills/Qualifications:

Florida State Registered Nurse License and CPR Certification. Must pass an extensive criminal background check and drug screen.
