YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL…

1. Ensures accurate data entry into the billing system for patient billing.
2. Verify insurance benefits for patients entering the facility or picking up part B services.
3. Communicates with corporate office to ensure accurate & timely billing to various payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care Insurances, etc.)
4. Processes consolidated billing claims from third party physician offices.
5. Resolves coding and claim errors prior to claim transmission.
6. Assist with minimizing accounts receivable exposure and ensuring timely follow up on all aged balances.
7. Maintain current knowledge of payer requirements and Medicare regulations.

Other Duties:

1. Maintains backup and supporting documents for various audit/survey purposes.
2. Maintains account records and storage binders in an orderly fashion.
3. Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required.
4. Schedules appointments for supervisors and Executive Director as needed.
5. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
6. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
7. Drafts communication for department manager and distributes accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's Degree preferred, with knowledge of medical coding and insurance verifications.

2. Data entry experience necessary.

3. Customer service experience required.

4. Proven ability with computer and communication skills.

5. Required knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.

6. Preferred 2 years’ experience in an office or other professional environment.

7. Preferred 1 years' experience in medical billing/insurance verifications.
