ResponsibilitiesEfficiently supervise daily laboratory activities, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.
Lead and guide a team of laboratory technicians and support staff, offering training and regular evaluations.
Manage equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal functionality.
Develop and implement streamlined standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent operations.
Monitor and coordinate inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are maintained.
Collaborate with researchers, scientists, and other departments to support projects and address laboratory needs.
Maintain records and documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
Enforce safety protocols and perform regular safety inspections to foster a secure work environment.
RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific field or equivalent work experience.
Extensive laboratory experience, including supervisory or managerial roles.
In-depth knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and instrumentation.
Strong Leadership Skills And Effective Communication Abilities.Attention to detail and a dedication to quality standards.
Proficiency in safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Certification/Licensure RequirementsFL State Supervisor License Required
Licensure in 3 technical specialties Required
ASCP or AMT required
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
Preferred QualificationsCertification in Laboratory Management or relevant field.
Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies for process optimization.
