We are looking for an experienced RN to work in an outpatient clinical setting as well as pre-, post-, and intra- procedural areas of an Ambulatory Surgical Center in the Thomasville, NC area.
Job Description Summary: The RN works collaboratively with the physician and other team to determine patient needs before, during, and after Endoscopic procedures as well as in the outpatient clinic. The RN performs responsibilities using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards.
Position Highlights:
· Work schedule is M-F from 7:30am-4:00 pm.
· No holidays, weekends or call.
· Provide direct, hands-on care to Endoscopy patients before, during and after Endoscopic procedures.
· Provide direct, hands-on care to Gastroenterology patients in the clinic setting.
· Provide education to Gastroenterology patients.
· Administer prescribed medications, as ordered by the physician.
· Start IV’s using Aseptic Technique.
· Assists with cleaning and preparing rooms between procedures, per the Infection Control Policy.
Job Eligibility Requirements:
· Holds the following certifications without restrictions: Current North Carolina RN license · 1 years of experience as a RN (any specialty)
· Current BLS certification; ACLS required within one year of employment
· Language - Must be able to read and write English at high school level.
Must communicate effectively. Must be able to read numbers and do basic math calculations. · Transportation – Must have transportation, current NC Driver’s License without restrictions and vehicle insurance.
