As a key member of the location’s leadership team, the Plant Manager has profit and loss responsibility for all aspects of All Weather’s operations organization. Responsibilities include: safety, quality, delivery, budgeting, and manufacturing operations, materials/supply chain, facilities and equipment, customer satisfaction. Unlike many other plant management positions, this also has responsibility for participating in new and existing product designs, and the execution of product development initiatives.
Required Skills And ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience
Experience: 7 years operations management role, window and door industry experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS office, preferably also with MRP systems
Essential Functions
  • Practice servant leadership and create a performance driven culture.
  • Create and communicate the operations vision.

  • Lead and encourage a safety conscious culture.
  • Foster positive employee relations where employees are motivated to engage in all facets of the business.
  • Work in partnership with HR to train, develop, and mentor direct reports and high potential employees.
  • Nurture/implement lean/continuous improvement methodology and formal problem-solving techniques to improve performance.
  • Use data-driven approach in managing the operating budget to control expenditures and variances and enhance overall performance.
  • Drive the plant capital planning process ensuring that operational needs are identified in the annual CAPEX plan.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing to execute actions on new product development and introductions.
  • Establish clear goals and objectives (KPIs and work plans). Monitor and measure performance to plan and deliver timely, objective, and actionable feedback.
  • Ensure products are delivered on-time and meet all customer expectations regarding quality and performance.
  • Work proactively and effectively with functional counterparts to ensure overall organizational success.
  • Manage the business to achieve/exceed agreed-upon growth, revenue, and operating income objectives.
Essential Abilities
  • Track record of being able to balance the need for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost Management
  • Knowledge of and experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing/support processes and drive continuous improvement
  • Ability to proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, develop targets (KPIs) and action plans and lead an organization to achieve results
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of production quality assurance procedure
  • Ability to monitor operations effectively and efficiently
  • Project management and negotiating skills
  • Passion for recruiting and growing leadership talent
  • Understanding of MRP and purchasing
  • Prior experience in the design and development of new products

PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Will involve periods of prolonged sitting or standing, which include walks around the production plant and constructions sites.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThis job operates mostly in a manufacturing environment with some administrative tasks requiring time spent in an office setting. Some travel may be required.
