ROLE TITLE: General Grounds Landscaper
POSITION REPORTS TO: Technology and Grounds Supervisor
Summary of Position
Under the general supervision of the Technology and Grounds Supervisor, the General Grounds / Landscaper will be required to perform duties independently according to the broadly prescribed landscaping master plan for Allegheny College’s 74 facilities and 565 acre campuses. These tasks will include grounds, trucking, composting, set ups, moving and related tasks. Self identifies work tasks, projects and needed repairs. Completes work order requests and updates completed work orders daily. Conducts Snow and Ice Removal Operations. Maintains first aid qualifications, work center safety, hazardous material handling, disposal and proper equipment wear. Performs critical on-call, after-duty standby responsibilities; responds to routine/urgent/emergency service calls. Works as part of the Maintenance Department’s team may assist the other Physical Plant teams (Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC/R, Locksmith, Painting, and Plumbing) on projects.

New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
The expected minimum starting point for this position is $15.80 per hour.
