Allegheny County Department Human Services is Hiring a Drug & Alcohol Program Representative Near Pittsburgh, PA

Allegheny County DHS/Office of Behavioral Health/Drug and Alcohol Programs is seeking candidates with a strong background in drug and alcohol prevention, intervention, treatment, and treatment-related subcontracts in a Single County Authority (SCA). Those with lived experience are welcomed to apply and be part of our dedicated team serving Allegheny County residents.

Daily Duties:

  • Monitor programs and provides technical assistance in accordance with state regulations/guidelines, county policies
  • Prepare written reports per the contract agency monitoring process
  • Complete annual and semi-annual Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) monitoring
  • Review and approving agency action plans for corrections of deficiencies in programs
  • Monitor agencies regarding general administration and service utilization compliance based upon DDAP Monitoring Policies and Procedures

Ideal Candidates Have:

  • Two (2) years of professional experience providing direct social services, case management services, program planning, program monitoring, program evaluation, allied health services, or quality assurance services in a social services agency; and a bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences, or public health or human services administration, or a closely related field; or
  • Four (4) years of professional experience providing direct social services, case management services, program planning, program monitoring, program evaluation, allied health services, or quality assurance services in a social services agency; and an associate’s degree including or supplemented by eighteen (18) credits in the behavioral sciences, or public health or human services administration; or
  • Graduate course work in the behavioral sciences, or public health or human services administration may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience.
