Allegheny Health Network Home Medical Equipment is Hiring a Revenue Cycle Specialist Near Pittsburgh, PA

AHN Home Medical Equipmentis hiring a Revenue Cycle Specialist. This position is responsible for claims invoicing, securing payment, and denial follow-up for Home Infusion claims. The Revenue Cycle Specialist is also responsible for timely follow-up on open accounts receivable, cash applications, adjustment requests, and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of coverage criteria and guidelines for their assigned payer group(s). After successful training, this will move to a work-from-home position. Training will be held in Ford City, Meadville, Crafton, or Sharpsburg, depending on the candidate's location.

· Ensure all billing requirements and required medical necessity information meet coverage criteria guidelines before invoice creation

· Review and follow up on open accounts receivable timely

· Identify delinquent accounts and investigate to identify issues affecting payment delays

· Follow-up on open denials daily, review, correct, and resubmit timely

· Utilize all resources to verify insurance coverage and request supporting documentation for all insurance changes

· Follow all contract payer rules and regulations to ensure compliance

· Document and maintain complete and accurate records concerning collection activity on all accounts

· Create and follow up on tasks for additional supporting documentation as needed

· Request adjustments and forward for approval/denial

· Resolve collection issues and report any issues/trends to management to timely resolve the problem

· Post Cash/denials timely and accurately

· Answer incoming phone calls, provide excellent customer service over the phone and provide thorough follow-up

Requirements:

· Demonstrates proficiency in insurance guidelines and collection practices

· Excellent knowledge of revenue cycle

· Show attention to detail, maintain accuracy, and meet aggressive goals.

· High school graduate or equivalent required

· Some advance degree-related or medical professional training preferred

· Spreadsheet and database management experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
