2nd shift : Monday Friday 3 : 00 pm 11 : 00 pm

Overhead Crane Operator Job Description :

Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Sweep ash from the surface of the zinc tank.

Hook materials to the crane.

Operating the overhead cranes safely and efficiently.

Check for proper racking and orientation of the material prior to galvanizing.

Check for proper vent and drain holes prior to galvanizing and add holes when necessary.

Check zinc tank for surface contaminates prior to galvanizing.

Know and understand adequate cook times per material.

Understand the indications of when the material is ready .

Be capable of checking the material for proper pickling prior to starting the galvanizing process.

Understand the pickling process and provide direction to the picklers.

Operate the spinner.

Operate the alloying equipment.

Is knowledgeable of the process and ensures all applicable standards and specifications are being met.
