Allegiant Automotive is hiring a Service Writer for our shop on New Leicester Highway in Asheville. We provide automotive repair services, as well as Towing and Upfitting. We are a growing company looking to add a valuable employee to our team. Pay is negotiable, and will increase over time and with experience. We will pay for all expenses related to you obtaining ASE or other industry certifications. We are looking for a reliable employee to join our team. You MUST possess basic computer skills, be able to use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation, have good customer service skills, and possess basic automotive knowledge.

Duties:

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them
• Schedule appointments for automotive services
• Provide estimates for services and communicate them to customers
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services
• Maintain accurate records of customer information, services performed, and payments received
• Handle cash transactions and process payments
• Assist with automotive sales by recommending additional services or products
• Parts Ordering

Experience:

• Previous experience in a service writer or customer service role preferred
• Knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance procedures is a necessity
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with customers
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and record keeping
• Able to use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
