Summary
The scope of the Ground Support Equipment Technical Specialist position includes all non-aircraft assets used in conjunction with the ramp, airport, and maintenance operations. This definition of GSE includes motorized and non-motorized, passenger handling equipment, support equipment (chocks, pins, etc.), deicing, and other equipment as identified. This will include any leased in, leased out, and owned used in support of the Allegiant operation.

Minimum Requirements
A combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details: In Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Years of Experience: Minimum two (2) years of related experience such as prior GSE or aviation industry-related experience.
•At least 18 years of age.
•Good planning and organizational skills.
•Ability and willingness to travel approximately up to 20%.
•Committed to the importance of safety, serving the customer, and having excellent customer service focus.
•Ability to read, write, and speak English in order to receive and understand instructions, and directives, and ensure safety, as well as the ability to interact with customers, is a requirement of the job.
•Ability to attend and successfully complete required training.
•Ability to establish goals and objectives and constantly measure the performance of the station ensuring goals are met.
•High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software and general ability to use information technology.
Preferred Requirements
•Related mechanical or technical training or certification pertaining to Ground Equipment or fleet management.
•Diesel Mechanic training.
• Well-developed planning and organizational skills.
Job Duties
•Inventory Management – Manage GSE inventory on the entire network by ensuring that all assets are entered and accounted for at all times in the GSE management tool in a timely manner.
•GSE Maintenance – Support the GSE Maintenance Manager in the development of the equipment maintenance program and controls for all GSE to ensure the availability, reliability, and cost efficiency of the GSE fleet.
•Interface with Station and Maintenance teams – Coordinate efforts with Manager GSE for meeting GSE operational needs of station and maintenance departments at various airports and coordinate efforts for on-site configuration support.
•GSE Invoices – Receive, review, and enter GSE asset-related invoices in the system after getting the proper authorization for payment from the appropriate level in a timely manner.
•Procurement Process for New Assets – Assist and follow the established procedures for the processing requisitions created by the requesting department and ensure that the Requisition form, CAPEX creation, and approval are completed.
•Work within the department to identify, source, and purchase terms, create purchase orders, and ensure assigning of the Asset ID is properly followed.
•Coordinating shipment arrangements with the Logistics team and arranging receiving assets at the destination and entering of all the required data into the GSE management tool.
•Vendor Performance and Relationship – Monitor the performance of all current GSE Asset suppliers and service providers. Develop and maintain the primary corporate relationship with all suppliers and vendors of parts supplies and services acquired through the supply chain, including the development of new relationships to ensure new/alternative sources of supply.
•Equipment Specifications Management – Assist the GSE Manager in developing the performance definition and equipment specifications for standard GSE assets for the airline.
•Coordinate all movements, parts support, and maintenance activities to meet the needs of the airline.
•Ramp procedures – Ensure the appropriate use of GSE is driven through all relevant procedures and training.
•Cost management – Work to control all GSE direct and indirect costs. Including capital acquisition, preventive maintenance, repair, parts, transportation, fuel, and any other related costs.
•Information support and analysis – Support the development of systems to drive management analysis of GSE reliability and costs. Drive special analysis to improve the availability and cost-effectiveness of the fleet.
•Field Support – Collaborate with stakeholders in the development and execution of processes and procedures in support of the daily needs of GSE users. Including providing information, answering questions, supporting out-of-service equipment, answering questions, etc.
•Model Allegiant's customer service standards in personal actions and when providing direction.
•Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
