allegriavillage is Hiring a Television Coordinator Near Dearborn, MI

*Allegria Village is looking for a full time Television Coordinator to manage our internal television station for the Independent Living team!*Requirements:

Candidate will need proven ability to work well in people-intensive context.

Excellent skills in communication, organization and team building.

Excellent writing and speaking skills, effective supervisor/coach, technical (camera/editing) skills, effective on camera interview, self-directed, high attention to detail, excellent rapport with people.

Core Responsibilities include:

Maintains and improves the daily operations of the Community Television (CTV) station by supervising the creative and technical activities of the department.

Establishes, maintains and improves the role of the CTV station as the hub of communication in the community.

Ensures the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of information broadcast on the CTV station.

Designs and implements new approaches along with CTV staff and resident volunteers for CTV programming and scheduling.

Coordinates and supervises CTV staff and resident volunteers for evening and weekend events.

Actively recruits and trains resident volunteers to work in the studio.

Contributes as camera operator, editor, producer, host when needed.

Coordinates the maintenance, repair and purchase of CTV equipment.

Continues to enhance the skills of the CTV department as a whole by encouraging ongoing education through seminars, leadership training and college/professional courses. 

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication or Liberal Arts preferred. Minimum education or the equivalent: Associate's degree or Technical School in some aspect of public communication, broadcasting, video production or the performing arts. Preferred minimum of three to five years relevant experience in television production, broadcasting or the performing arts.

Initiates monthly CTV volunteer meetings, and other meetings as appropriate.

Other duties as assigned.
