Position Overview:
As our QC Laboratory Technician, you’ll be on the frontline of quality control, ensuring every batch meets our high standards. You’ll be performing analytical and sensory tests, managing lab equipment, and keeping impeccable records. Essentially, you’ll help make sure every flavor that leaves our doors is nothing short of amazing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Inspections: Conduct audits, including scale checks (because accuracy is everything!) and pre-operation inspections.
- Test, Test, Test: Dive into pH, Brix, density, FTIR, water activity, and other fascinating analyses on ingredients and finished products.
- Data Whisperer: Log everything accurately, because if it’s not documented, did it even happen?
- Sample Wrangler: Keep track of control samples, prepare retain samples, and handle raw material testing with finesse.
- Ingredient Detective: Verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and make sure incoming materials pass muster.
- Expiration Gatekeeper: Manage critical materials, extending or rejecting them as needed (RIP expired materials).
- Clean and Clear: Perform weekly water and cleaning solution tests to keep things sparkling and safe.
- Lab Standards: Follow good lab practices (GMP, SQF, HACCP) like a pro.
- Jack of All Trades: Provide support wherever needed, lending a hand to the QC Lab Specialist and fellow Technicians.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma required, 2-year college degree a bonus!
Experience: 1-3 years in a manufacturing or lab setting preferred.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow GMP and GLP practices.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and data entry skills.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
