We are well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment (paperless record system, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, Class IV therapy laser, ultrasound, full service in-house laboratory including clotting profiles, high speed drill, electrosurgery and cautery). Nutrition and preventative care are stressed as well as thorough diagnostics workups and treatment plans. Our veterinarians enjoy a doctor to staff ratio of 1:7 and our staff is highly trained to support the doctors so we can achieve our goals. We also have the support of 2 travelling internists, a cardiologist and a boarded surgeon.
Windham is located in southeastern New Hampshire, just miles from the Massachusetts boarder and quick 40 minutes from Boston. We offer a unique mix of rural areas, urban centers, and easy access to outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, surfing, hunting, and fishing. Our residents take full advantage of the beautiful landscape and all the stunning parks and beaches that surround the area. Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a full time veterinarian who is compassionate, a team player, and strong communicator. We could support experienced associate veterinarians or provide a great mentorship program to support new or recent graduates as well! The ideal candidate would be comfortable or open to learning about exotics.

- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
- All experience levels encouraged to apply!
- Active veterinary state license
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire for some hospitals
- USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire for some hospitals
- Ability to sit or stand and work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Ability to be confident around animals (i.e., dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc. Candidate to confirm species treated with practice leadership for additional clarity.)
- Must have mental capacity and processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderately high. Ear plugs will be available upon request.
- Job requires sufficient ambulatory skills in order to perform required duties while working.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate other equipment as required.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Hospital teammates are routinely exposed to a variety of animals that may bite, kick or scratch, and on occasion, may be exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological or zoonotic hazards and/or medication/controlled substances.
