Part-time French Instructor

The Instructor is part of a team and reports to the Director

Description

The Alliance Française de Détroit / French Institute of Michigan is hiring a part-time

French language instructor to teach in person adult classes.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Teaching group classes in person and possibly online

• Teaching Private classes in person and possibly online

• Create, organize, and teach thematic workshops

• May perform occasional office task (library, student registration)

• Attend organized meetings approximately once a month Availability

Some Flexibility, we will favor availabilities on Afternoons/Evenings / Saturdays

Qualifications

Advanced proficiency in French (level C1/C2)

Applicant must possess work authorization for the US before applying for the position.

Degree in FLE (Français Langue Etrangère), in teaching a second language, in communication preferred.

Experience in teaching a plus.

Strong organizational and planning skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and diplomatic abilities.

Comfortable with computers, communication tools and ready to learn working with

new software.

Compensation

Teaching salary base $30 hour

Starting date : September 2023 or earlier.
