Job Description:

Alliance Ground International (AGI) is seeking an experienced and strategic leader for the position of Director of Maintenance, West. This role will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations across multiple airport locations in the western region. The Director of Maintenance will ensure the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency in the maintenance and repair of ground support equipment (GSE) and facilities.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the maintenance teams across the western region.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to standardize maintenance operations.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Maintenance Operations:

• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all GSE and facilities within the region.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and lifespan.

Resource Allocation:

• Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet operational needs.
• Coordinate with procurement and inventory management to ensure the availability of necessary parts and supplies.
• Monitor and manage regional maintenance budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance operations.
• Generate regular reports on maintenance activities, performance metrics, and operational status.
• Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

• Develop and maintain relationships with equipment vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effective procurement and maintenance services.
• Collaborate with airport authorities, airline partners, and other stakeholders to address operational challenges and enhance service delivery.

Training and Development:

• Implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of maintenance personnel.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
• Promote professional development and succession planning within the maintenance teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in the aviation or ground support equipment industry.
• Proven leadership and management skills, with experience overseeing multiple locations.
• Strong technical knowledge of GSE maintenance practices and procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of aviation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Willingness to travel within the western region as required.
