Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bilingual (Spanish) Referral Coordinator and Billing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient referrals, verifying insurance coverage, and handling billing and invoicing tasks. The Referral Coordinator and Billing Clerk will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing excellent service to our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient referrals from primary care physicians and other healthcare providers
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
• Communicate with insurance companies to ensure timely processing of claims
• Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims and invoices
• Follow up on outstanding claims and denials to ensure timely payment
• Maintain electronic and paper billing records
• Answer patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance coverage
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure accurate and complete documentation
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2 years of experience in medical billing and insurance verification
• Knowledge of insurance billing procedures and medical terminology
• Proficiency in using billing and electronic medical records (EMR) software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus
• Familiarity with chiropractic care and procedures is a plus
