Essential Functions
- Log in all received samples according to proper procedures, including labeling, logging, and acknowledging.
- Maintain a clean and organized lab space.
- Prepare and analyze samples under the direction of the Laboratory Manager.
- Prepare reagents and various media for testing as instructed.
- Perform routine maintenance of laboratory instruments and workspace.
- Document work performed according to established protocols and compile analysis data into lab reports.
- Conduct specific analyses or portions of analyses as directed by the Laboratory Manager.
- Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and glassware.
- Report non-conformances to the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) and Laboratory Manager.
- Perform other job-related duties and projects as assigned.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associate degree or higher in a physical science preferred.
- Degrees in Chemistry, Biology, or Laboratory Science preferred.
- General familiarity with laboratory safety and previous laboratory experience preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal customers and external vendors.
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
- Professional behavior and appearance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task, follow up on pending issues, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- General knowledge of chemistry and lab analysis operations.
