The information technology analyst will be responsible for assisting with diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, providing end-user support, management, maintenance and troubleshooting of a corporate network and Windows servers. The ideal person will have good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. A typical day in this role consists of end user technical support requests, server management, preparing for new employees, and IT department documentation and projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintenance of Microsoft Windows Server domain (active directory, DHCP, DNS), web, and SQL Server database servers
• VMware virtual machine management
• Hyper-V virtual machine management
• Configuration and deployment of client computers
• Office 365 administration of user accounts and email
• Software installation and support
• Technical support for end user computer systems using Microsoft Windows 10/11 Professional
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and outages, escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate IT teams or vendors.
• Occasional travel (2-3 times a year) to satellite offices for IT deployment/maintenance
• Assist with computer and server specification selection
• Assist with hardware and software budgeting, purchasing, and inventory
• Perform analysis of existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.
• Create and maintain documentation for IT systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years experience in technical support/systems analysis/network administration
• 2 or 4 year degree from an accredited university preferred (Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field). Degree in progress acceptable. (1 year of relevant work experience is equivalent to 1 college year of study).
• Must be detail oriented
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Microsoft Windows 10/11, Windows Server
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office365 environments.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Networking components and basic computer hardware components
• Repair or upgrade computers/servers and troubleshoot related hardware
• Procedures used in the installation, modification, maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software
• IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
• Knowledge of the following is preferred, but not required: VMware, Hyper-V, Egnyte, KnowBe4, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti Unifi
