Alliance Water Resources is a growing water and wastewater contract operations company with an open Operator II position in the Hazelwood, MO area.

Job Summary:This is a technical position that engages in a variety of activities to wastewater systems, and customer service. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Local Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

High School Graduate

Licenses and Certifications:Possession of a valid driver’s license. Wastewater Treatment Operator Certificate

Experience:

Progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of wastewater systems, including supervisory experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Essential Functions:

• Performs the operation, maintenance and repair of all equipment including wastewater treatment facility related equipment.
• Provides assistance to contractors and local utilities as needed; performs plan reviews and coordinates with consulting engineers as required.
• May provide on-site project management, installing equipment, and conducting testing programs.
• Assists in responding to client, customer, or agency complaints or inquiries; recommends improvements to eliminate problems.
• Performs inspections on plant operations and activities including equipment, maintenance, and safety related issues; recommends replacements and specifications for new equipment; orders materials and equipment within appropriate authority.
• Performs prevention programs and maintains related records.
• Communicates with clients, staff, customers, contractors/developers, and employees regarding customer service requests, and general wastewater system issues.
• Investigates and takes appropriate action in response to complaints.
• Participates in related professional association activities; stays knowledgeable of new developments in materials, equipment and processes to ensure effective and efficient operation of the systems.
• Assists in facility tours; maintains positive relationships with co-workers, clients, customers, and vendors.
• Develops and implements SOPs and Emergency Response Plans.
• Reviews and maintains inventory of materials according to set procedures; authorizes the purchasing of materials within authority limits.
• Assures proper safety standards and precautions are followed and that all safety equipment is available and in good working condition according to company policy and equipment manual.
• Prepares reports and maintains records to meet federal, state, local, and company requirements.
