Allied caregivers is Hiring a Personal Care Attendant - Dover, NH Near Dover, NH

Job Summary:
Allied Caregivers is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable In-Home Non-Medical Caregiver to join our team in Manchester, NH. This is a full-time, hourly position in the healthcare/medical field, with a pay rate of $20 per hour. As an individual contributor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients by providing personalized and supportive care in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Following the instructions of your client's care plan or an Admin in providing personal assistance services, including but not limited to:
    • Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, adhering to any dietary restrictions or preferences.
    • Assist with mobility, including transferring the client from bed to wheelchair, and providing support.
    • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying up living spaces to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
    • Provide companionship and emotional support by engaging in conversation, recreational activities, or accompanying the client on outings.
  • Adapt care plans and routines based on the client's changing needs and preferences, while promoting their independence and autonomy to the fullest extent possible.
  • Observe and report any and all safety hazards found in the home or care environment, or any significant or noteworthy observations regarding the client. 
  • Communicate thoroughly and proactively with admin personnel as to client concerns, complaints, or issue, as well as any scheduling exceptions.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with the Healthcare Information Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies or urgent situations, following established protocols and seeking assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure continuity of care and promote the client's overall well-being.
  • Stay updated on best practices and techniques in personal care and attend training sessions or workshops as required.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • No previous education or experience is required, but helpful. 
  • Must have a completed & valid certificate for the New Hampshire 8-hour Basic Caregiver Training and Alzheimer’s & Dementia; company will sponsor training if needed. 
  • Able to provide mobility assistance, if required, including but not limited to wheelchairs and walkers; able to assist clients with sitting, standing, walking. 
  • Comfortable assisting clients, when necessary, with personal hygiene, toileting, and bedtime needs. 
  • Must be able to read, understand, and carry out requirements in client’s careplan; these are unique to each client. 
  • Be kind, caring, compassionate, patient, and empathetic with our clients. 
  • Work with integrity, communicate effectively, and help create win-win solutions.
