Responsibilities
•Visit with, follow up, call, and coach existing and prospective clients on commercial insurance policies as part of the company's commitment to high-level personal attention and customer service
•Negotiate insurance coverage terms and conditions with management teams after thoroughly determining the clients' commercial insurance needs against available insurance products
•Maintain a solid book of business for existing clients, and grow new business base through a range of networking and sales tactics, including cold calling and prospecting for potential customers to effectively articulate the company's competitive advantage and new products
•Stay abreast of all insurance coverage provisions, the overall insurance industry, regulations, and pertinent legislation to ensure customers understand their coverage terms and insurance services in the process
•Support clients efforts to decrease or eliminate the propensity for insurance claims by presenting them with reliable risk management reports
Qualifications
•Strong negotiation, research, analytical, and communication skill are necessary for success
•A wealth of knowledge or willingness to learn about commercial enterprise procedures that can facilitate accurate policy recommendations
•In-depth knowledge of available insurance policies and insurance coverage offerings along with their key differentiators
•Prior experience in the insurance industry as an insurance producer for commercial lines
•Computer proficiency is required, including Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
