Allied Solutions is Hiring an Operations Architect Near Carmel, IN

The Operations Architect aligns the organization’s business strategy with its operations and technology. The role is responsible for designing and implementing business structures and processes that drive efficiency, effectiveness, and agility across the organization. The primary focus is the business motivations, business operations and business analysis frameworks and related networks that link these aspects of the enterprise together. This role requires a deep understanding of business strategy, processes, and technology, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Alignment (30%)

  • Create and manage strategies and initiatives for operational optimization & process improvement plans/approaches.
  • Align and support strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers; organization; capabilities; and key business and IT initiatives.
  • Develop business architecture strategies into actionable plans and initiatives based on situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
  • Drive and facilitate discussions with business leaders to identify business capabilities in relation to current and future business objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments and divisions to understand their unique needs and priorities. Collaborate with business leaders to understand and align business strategy with architecture goals.
  • Deliver business architecture artifacts to Product, Service Designers and Technology Architecture for end-to-end architecture and solutions to align technology solutions with business goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on process optimization opportunities and challenges. Ability to influence others to reach consensus.
  • Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and other interactive sessions to solicit input and build consensus around process improvement initiatives.

Business Process Design (30%)

  • Design, determine, and document future state business processes that align with strategic objectives based on situational awareness of business scenarios & product/market motivations.
  • Design and implement business structures, processes, and systems that drive efficiency, effectiveness, and agility across the organization.
  • Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing and modeling the key views of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.
  • Analyze and document current state business processes to support technology or product led initiatives.
  • Document the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions. Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities, and business units.
  • Create and maintain business capability, data, process, and technology inventories. Work with multifunctional teams to gather and document the structure of Allied’s business and technology landscape.
  • Visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture.

Continuous Improvement (30%)

  • Discover and design solutions to optimize workflow with known constraints. 
  • Identify structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies and apply architectural principles to determine business solutions.
  • Assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues.
  • Mine and analyze performance of business processes to identify opportunities and solutions to reduce process time and standardize workflows.
  • Conduct comprehensive mapping and analysis of existing business processes to identify areas for optimization and enhancement, utilizing tools such as process flow diagrams and value stream mapping.
  • Determine opportunities to further integrate technology solutions to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and automate repetitive tasks, collaborating with IT teams to identify and implement suitable tools and systems.
  • Collaborate and communicate with Product, Technology, and Business managers and frontline staff to gather feedback, identify pain points, and co-create solutions that address operational inefficiencies.
  • Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams to provide updates on project progress, solicit feedback, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Work closely with IT teams to align technology solutions with business goals.

Sustainability (10%)

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with business architecture decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of business architecture changes.
  • Develop and implement performance monitoring frameworks to track the effectiveness of continuous. improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics and feedback mechanisms to identify opportunities for further optimization and refinement.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree: Field of Study: Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of work-related experience.
  • Proven experience as a Business Architect or in a similar role.
  • Experience required in planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives
  • Experience required in creating process models 
  • Financial and/or Property & Casualty Insurance experience preferred
  • Required Certification(s) and/or Proven Work Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Business Architecture, Six Sigma, Project Mgmt, Certified Process Professional, Certified Quality Engineer, etc.
