About The Position

Job Title : Sterile Processing tech

Location : Kansas City, KS 66160

Length of Assignment : 14 weeks

Shift : 40 hours

Shift Schedule : 3 : 00PM - 11 : 30P 5x / week

Job Summary

A Sterile Processing Technician, also known as a Central Sterile Processing Technician or Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, is a crucial member of the healthcare team responsible for ensuring that medical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for patient use.

• Decontamination :
• Disassembling used medical instruments and equipment.
• Removing any debris, blood, or bodily fluids.
• Cleaning instruments using various methods, such as manual cleaning or utilizing automated cleaning equipment like ultrasonic cleaners.
• Sterilization :
• Operating sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, gas sterilizers, or dry-heat sterilizers.
• Following manufacturer instructions and established protocols to ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Monitoring sterilization cycles and maintaining accurate records of sterilization processes.
