- 17:30) Job Description: A Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technician is a specialized healthcare professional who assists cardiologists and other medical staff during procedures in the cath lab . The Cath Lab Technician plays a crucial role in the cardiovascular team by providing technical support during various cardiac procedures. The technician assists in the preparation, operation, and maintenance of specialized equipment used in the catheterization laboratory. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment. Prepare the catheterization laboratory for procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order. Assist in the setup of cardiac monitoring devices, imaging equipment, and other specialized instrumentation. Ensure the sterile field is properly maintained throughout procedures. Skills: Ability to push a 400+ pound Ultrasound machine to the LDR Suites or Obstetrical High-Risk Unit for an emergency scan. Requires frequent standing, stretching, and bending to reach necessary supplies. Experience with routine obstetrical ultrasound imaging and machinery, and gynecological ultrasound imaging and pathology. Ability to grasp necessary transducers to use for sonography. Digital dexterity to enter data on Ultrasound keyboard is necessary. Carrying and lifting supplies to restock exam rooms and storing transducers at the end of shift is necessary. Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and ability to handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism a must. Required: EPIC experience. Education: Knowledge of coronary and peripheral vascular anatomy and physiology and medical terminology. Preferred:1 year of experience in Cardiac Catheterizations or Interventional Radiology. Certifications & Licenses: BLS
- AHA ACLS
- AHA ARRT Covid Card State of Nevada license for Radiography.
