Responsibilities typically include: Decontamination: Disassembling used medical instruments and equipment. Removing any debris, blood, or bodily fluids. Cleaning instruments using various methods, such as manual cleaning or utilizing automated cleaning equipment like ultrasonic cleaners. Sterilization: Operating sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, gas sterilizers, or dry-heat sterilizers. Following manufacturer instructions and established protocols to ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
