About The Position Position: MRI Technician - Radiology Location: Olathe, KS Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 10-hour shifts | 1400-midnight T/W/Th/F and off Mondays Hours per Week: 40 Job Summary: The MRI Technologist operates MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the purpose of medical diagnosis. This role requires expertise in using MRI technology, ensuring patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, and collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities: Operate MRI equipment to capture images according to physicians' orders and established protocols. Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process, ensuring patient comfort, and addressing any concerns or questions. Adhere to strict safety protocols to minimize risks associated with magnetic fields, ensuring proper screening for contraindications and monitoring patient conditions during scans. Monitor images in real-time to ensure quality and clarity, adjusting parameters as needed to optimize image acquisition. Perform routine maintenance on MRI equipment, including calibrations and troubleshooting, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of patient information, imaging protocols, and scan results in compliance with regulatory standards. Coordinate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of images and timely delivery of results.
