Allison Smith Design is a Portland based interior design firm with over 30 years of experience in residential, commercial, and international design projects. We are looking to add an experienced full time Junior Interior Designer to our dynamic team. This position requires a candidate that is self-sufficient, motivated, able to multitask, and communicate well. This opportunity allows a person to continue to grow with a thriving business.

This an hybrid, full time, hourly position paying up to $50,000 / year depending on experience. You must be willing to travel into our office located in Portland, OR on a consistent basis.

Requirements

Previous experience working at a design firm and selling to clients.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, AutoCAD, REVIT, and Adobe Suite (Illustrator etc).

Responsibilities

• Determine and define project scope and objectives
• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
• Track project costs in order to meet budget
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
• Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
