Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented colleague to join our Supply Chain team. Your responsibilities will include receiving, shipping, and storing all materials in accordance with applicable procedures to support both internal and external customers. If you have a proactive attitude, a strong customer focus, and a willingness to achieve results, we are relying on you to help us maintain safe and reliable operations.
Responsibilities
  • Must be capable of obtaining hazmat regulatory training for all modes of transportation within the first 90 days of hire, including 49CFR, RCRA for hazardous waste shipments, IATA, Shipping by Sea, Air and Ground.
  • Accurately receive, maintain, store, supply and deliver material to appropriate locations throughout the plant to support production requirements, including performing any and all transactions necessary to maintain accurate plant inventories. Rotate and relocate materials based off of dates received(FIFO)-Learn the Bar coding system from receipt to consumption. Have the capacity and willingness to train the bar code system to other Allnex employees, perform cycle counts(raw and finished goods), as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documents, including learning the Fed Ex shipping system for both, (domestic and export shipments), maintaining samples in inventory and handle other limited quantity shipments.
  • Utilize any and all appropriate job related equipment, tools, computers, devices, scanners, etc. which are needed or will assist in the performance of assigned duties spotter training, SAP input with the ability to make materials labels and sample labels.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the appropriate Departments and Plant personnel to assure safe and efficient operations.
  • Assist the Logistics Department in maintaining inventory counts and audits of 3rd party distribution centers, as directed by Manager/Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental standards, policies and procedures, while utilizing proper safety equipment, protective devices and clothing, while demonstrating safe work practices on Company premises. Assist the SHE Manager with maintaining/auditing the Hazardous Material accumulation area.
  • Support and comply with all requirements of ISO/QS and RC 14001.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Advanced SAP, bar coding or other inventory software, required
  • 1-3 years industrial and forklift experience in a chemical manufacturing plant, preferred. Prior experience working in a warehouse, distribution center or common carrier terminal is a plus.
  • Experience required in working from sales orders, lot selection with attention given to orders with special instructions and specialized labeling for shipment to customer(s).
  • Ability to function as team player, and work a flexible schedule.
  • Must feel comfortable working with basic accounting principles and requires simple analytical judgment in the analysis of facts and/or conditions.
  • Ability to follow proper order instructions, and recognizing if/when incorrect instructions are provided from either external or internal resources and be able to reference the appropriate procedural document for resolution.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED, required
  • 5 years in Logistics or related field, preferred
  • Supervisor experience, desired

  • Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand walk sit use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, tools, or controls reach with hands and arms climb stairs balance stoop kneel talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must pass vision test, as a condition of employment.
  • Work Environment Working conditions are subject to Hot and Cold temperatures, including elements such as noise, dust, fumes and safety hazards. This position requires outside work and exposure to weather conditions. Must be able to wear a respirator, when required. The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is advised.
