You will play a crucial role in handling and producing tissue implants derived from eye tissue for approved medical devices. The Process Support Technician is an entry-level role responsible for supporting Tissue Processing Technicians and the Manufacturing Manager in inventory and supply management, as well as the production of medical device tissue implants. This position ensures the smooth operation of both tissue processing and logistics functions. The technician will receive training in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Tissue Practice (GTP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). This role requires working on-site five days a week.

Main responsibilities

· Material Management: Ensure materials are available for processing biological tissues used in medical device tissue implants.

· Equipment Maintenance: Perform cleaning and routine maintenance on surgical instruments, autoclaves, and processing rooms.

· Cleaning and Upkeep: Keep process areas clean and organized, properly handle waste and debris, and remove all potential safety hazards.

· Facility Maintenance: Apply Environmental Health & Safety and Cleaning Standards to maintain the facility.

· Order Materials: Support the ordering of materials to maintain inventory levels.

· Supplier Coordination: Procure materials from approved suppliers and manage inventory to ensure production continuity.

· Equipment Storage: Receive and store all equipment until needed by production.

· Material Movement: Move materials within and from the warehouse to the production area and return finished products to the inventory area. Track material inventory and locations within the production area.

· Support final packaging and shipment of material to Tissue facilities and physicians.

· Collaboration: Work closely with process technicians and site supervision to manage raw materials, ensuring continuous production of finished products.

· Tissue Preparation and Preservation: Assist in preparing and preserving tissue while adhering to strict protocols and maintaining low bioburden levels.

· Tissue Packaging: Handle and package tissue for sterilization, storage, and transport following validated processes.

· Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of tissue procurement, processing, and distribution to comply with regulatory requirements.

· Quality Control: Perform comprehensive quality control checks to ensure tissue suitability and integrity.

· Regulatory Compliance: Follow regulatory guidelines, including FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

· Work Orders: Interpret work orders and perform appropriate duties to support the production process, including environmental controls, cleaning, and line clearance.

· Finished Products: Place finished products in proper locations following company/department guidelines.

· Reporting: Produce in/out reports and complete Problem Material Reports.

· Communication & Contacts: Communicate effectively with other production team members.
