Your responsibilities:
- Cultivate a proactive safety culture through a Safety Management System, engaging employees,
- Develop and implement EHS programs, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with
- Drive cost-effective compliance, safety, and environmental initiatives, including capex projects
- Oversee waste management and zero-waste-to-landfill strategies
- Integrate EHS into plant systems and processes, conduct assessments, and lead corrective actions
- Manage EHS training programs
- Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce injury,
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and corporate EHS
- Act as the liaison with regulatory agencies
- Bachelor's or master's degree in safety, environmental, health, chemistry, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of EHS experience in manufacturing
- Proficiency in OSHA and EPA regulations
- PSM Ammonia experience is essential
- Multisite manufacturing experience is a plus
- Knowledge of Texas DEQ regulations
- Strong background in both safety and environmental/health aspects
- Experience in managing direct reports in a complex unionized environment
