We have an immediate need for a Director of Supply Chain and Procurement at a leading company conveniently located in Bensalem. This is full time direct hire opportunity that will work a hybrid schedule once training is completed.

Job Duties Include:

• Directs and oversees the global strategic planning, sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing of materials, supplies, products and services for multiple manufacturing and distribution facilities to continuously satisfy customer needs.
• Ensures production scheduling and provides supplies and materials based on agreed forecasts and customer needs. Works with manufacturing to develop the best, most effectivesupply chains possible integrating Just-in-time and other current techniques and practices.
• Directs, optimizes, and coordinates full order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability, customer satisfaction and demand. Regularly communicates with customers and salesdepartment to understand customers’ existing and future product needs.
• Assists customers with their supplier integration on new products to bring products to market and reduce and streamline launch rollouts and process.
• Defines and implements efficient rollout process including selection of materials and suppliers.
• Establishes, implements, and maintains purchasing and related practices, procedures, and contract management policies. Evaluates and recommends changes in purchasing and supply chain policies to support projected business needs and to optimize inventory levels. Functions as a knowledge expert for the Company.
• Ensures honest, fair, and ethical negotiations, practices, and relationships with vendors. Directs contractors and subcontractors so they follow the required insurance guidelines as directed by third party insurance carriers.
• Reviews documents for legal and liability considerations. Keeps informed on legal matters relating to purchasing practices.
• Analyzes market and delivery systems to assess present and future material and product availability and to insure the best prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Continuously monitors and measures supplier costs and performance to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Uses this for competitive advantage. Continuously review the opportunity to outsource and develop partnerships to produce products, materials and services based on customer needs, benefit, economics, and quality.
• Identifies savings opportunities through analysis of purchase price or risk and/or liability elimination.
• Explores new materials, suppliers, and products to achieve the best possible quality reliability, price, and continuity of delivery to customers. Continuously develops and implements appropriate internal and external measurements to improve customer satisfaction, productivity, quality, and service levels.

Job Requirements Include:

• BA/BS in Supply Chain, Sourcing or Procurement
• 8 years of experience in purchasing with 5 years in a managerial level position in procurement, preferably in a related (manufacturing or consumer products) industry;
• Demonstrated effective people skills.
• Experience with demanding materials, products, and delivery schedules.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing, LEAN processes, production efficiency with materials and products.
• Demonstrated proficiency with ERP, Microsoft Office, Work, Excel (Advanced), Outlook, etc.
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
