Allucent is Hiring a Payroll and People & Culture Specialist (Cary, NC, USA) Near Cary, NC

We are looking for a Payroll and People & Culture (P&C) Specialist (PPCS) to join our A-team (hybrid). As a Payroll and P&C Specialist at Allucent, you are responsible for completing various tasks and processes for the Payroll and People and Culture areas of Allucent. The PPCS is a member of both the Finance and People & Culture teams.

In this role your key tasks will include:

  • Assists with payroll-related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, termination status changes, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposit
  • Processes payroll for US and Canadian employees in a timely manner
  • Maintains payroll records and files
  • Works with Accounting on month end accruals for PTO, severance and other accounting needs
  • Responds to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions and accruals, wage garnishments, child support payments, and employment verifications
  • Addresses and resolves employee issues related to the payroll self-service system
  • Works with company database programs to process payroll data
  • Assists with preparation of month-end reports
  • Performs general clerical duties
  • Assists with related special projects as required
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
  • Runs and report on HR Metrics and Analytics
  • Works with functional areas throughout the company to gather RFI reporting of metrics
  • Responsible for processing US and Canada Benefits billing
  • Assist with other related P&C areas as required
  • Draft and contribute as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field of Payroll Administrator activities to the evaluation/improvement of processes and procedures within the Quality Management System
  • Review, improve and evaluate Payroll and P&C processes and procedures within the Quality Management System
  • Contribute to other areas of business as required

To be successful you will possess:

  • Finance, HR and/or business degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experienced in payroll administration
  • Superior attention to detail
  • ADP Work Force Now experience required
  • Proficiency with various computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required (intermediate level)
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential employee data
  • General knowledge of US and Canadian payroll taxing and jurisdictional structures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English
  • Representative, outgoing and client focused
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment of a growing company
  • Proficiency with payroll tools and systems
  • Administrative excellence
  • Able to report to multiple areas of concentration (both Finance and People and Culture)
