POSITION: Middle School Teacher – (1 position)

Must be certified to teach in the following subjects:

ELA and Social Studies

LOCATION: Donald L. Pavlik Middle School

REPORTS TO: Jennifer Huntoon, Principal

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education
  • Must be highly qualified to teach 6th – 8th grade
  • Meet requirements for background check and fingerprinting

Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
A successful candidate will possess:

  • Successful experience working with middle level age students
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Apply differentiated instruction and assessment that improves achievement for all learners in a collaborative environment
  • Demonstrate commitment to support students’ social emotional and academic development
  • Ability to relate and instruct students in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings
  • Ability to develop and use strategies to improve student achievement in all core content areas
  • Ability to use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
  • Ability to contribute to a professional learning team

COMPENSATION: Alma Public SchoolsSalary Schedule A

BEGINNING DATE: 2024-25 School Year
