Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is Hiring a Director, Market Development Near Cambridge, MA

This role is considered Hybrid.
OverviewAs the Director of HCP Marketing, Market Development and Diagnosis Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving disease awareness, market development, and patient finding strategies for the US TTR Business at Alnylam across ATTR Amyloidosis. This is a key role on the US TTR Marketing team, that is bringing an industry leading TTR Franchise to market. You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at increasing disease awareness, identifying and reaching patients in need, and fostering partnerships to drive growth and innovation.
Our team is at the forefront of commercializing an industry-leading TTR Franchise, with a focus on preparing for the potential launch of Vutrisiran in cardiomyopathy while continuing to establish market leadership for ONPATTRO® (patisiran) and AMVUTTRA® (vutrisiran) in polyneuropathy. If approved, Vutisiran is anticipated to emerge with a market-leading profile in ATTR-CM, offering a unique mechanism of action and the potential for a highly impactful clinical profile in a rapidly growing market with significant unmet patient needs. In this role, you will be entrusted with developing comprehensive strategies and tactics that harmonize with our overarching TTR franchise strategy and resonate effectively across all channels.
The position is a hybrid position located in Cambridge, MA and will report to the Senior Director, US TTR HCP Team Lead with up to ~40% travel to conferences/KOL engagements/field training meetings/etc.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive disease awareness and market development strategies for polyneuropathy (PN) and cardiomyopathy (CM) indications.
  • Oversee the development and execution of disease state awareness campaigns targeting HCPs, including tactical execution of educational initiatives and materials.
  • Identify opportunities to increase awareness of these diseases among healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and caregivers through targeted educational initiatives and awareness campaigns.
  • Serve as a key liaison with cardiology stakeholders to understand market dynamics, identify opportunities for collaboration, and drive strategies to win in the cardiology space.
  • Pioneer solutions with the Strategic Accounts team to innovate and develop strategies for engaging health systems and integrated delivery networks (IDNs) in disease awareness and patient finding efforts.
  • Lead the development of compelling DSA messages tailored to PN and CM, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and communication strategies.
  • Partner with relevant channel leads to execute DSA messages effectively across various channels.
  • Identify and develop appropriate partnerships with medical societies, patient advocacy groups, and other relevant organizations to support disease awareness campaigns and educational initiatives.
  • Leverage partnerships to amplify messaging, reach target audiences, and drive engagement with HCPs and patients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with brand strategies and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Clinical, Medical, Market Access, Finance, Business Development, Legal, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Marketing & Sales leadership
  • Collaborate with legal, regulatory, and compliance stakeholders to ensure compliant development and execution of all strategies and tactics
  • Effectively manage and maintain relationships with Agency Partners
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, science or related field; MBA or science-related graduate degree preferred
  • 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare consulting industry preferred
  • D emonstrated ability to help set a vision, develop robust action plans for a brand, overcome obstacles and find solutions to problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience in specialty products strongly preferred
  • Excellent communications skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing are required
  • Proven project management skills including timeline management, planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management, plan execution
  • Proven ability in managing external agencies and vendors
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results in a fast-paced environment
