Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Classification: Salary Exempt/Hourly
Status: Full Time
Reports To: Clinical Director
Summary/Objective:
The BCBA works with the Clinical Director and a team of BCBAs and RBTs to provide a range of applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and clinical services for children 2 through 12 years old with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The BCBA consults, provides training to caregivers, and conducts behavioral evaluations of clients and designs behavior and individual support plans for clients. The BCBA is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, communicating and continually evaluating the effectiveness of functional assessments, behavioral evaluations, behavior plans and individual education plans for clients on their caseload. As a BCBA, you will be a clinical teacher who educates, observes, assesses, and supervises the educational activities and service delivery of RBTs. The BCBA is required to adhere to the BACB’s Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts® as well as all regulatory and statutory rules of the Board of Medicine for the State of {State}. The BCBA maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the Clinical Director.
Essential Functions:
· Administers, conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and functional assessment measures
· Develops individualized goals and objectives for programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data
· Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives
· Trains clinical staff on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems
· Meets regularly with Clinical Director and notifies her/him immediately of issues impacting client’s progress and satisfaction
· Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by the Clinical Director
· Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours according to Aloha Behavioral Center’s policies and state and federal regulations
Fulfills responsibilities by demonstrating the following:
· Supervises cases with appropriate frequency
· Develops client goals
· Reviews data and monitors client progress weekly
· Behavioral approach to intervention
· Makes Program Updates as needed
· Creates appropriate data sheets
· Provides parent training
· Conducts assessments
· Monitor RBT competencies
· Seeks further training and participates in professional development
· Interactions with co-workers are professional and conducive to an ethical environment
Required Education and Experience:
· A master's degree and educational coursework completed in applied behavior analysis, child development, special education, psychology, or related field.
· Certification from the BACB® and Licensed by the Board of Medicine in the State of NV.
· Demonstrate a thorough understanding of DTT, PECS, NET, and other ABA strategies.
· A minimum of three years' experience working directly with children with Autism and/or developmental delays.
· A minimum of one-year experience supervising RBTs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
· Moderate to high stress levels
· Work fluctuates between a clinical, office and home environment.
· Regular contact with parents, community members and outside agency personnel.
· Hazards: Incumbent may be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive, self-abusive, or socially undesirable behavior.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours will fluctuate based on workload and client schedule. May work on Saturday on ocassions.
